CatalogQ

Welcome to CatalogQ, a work-in-progress resource for information about GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) periodical publications — newspapers, newsletters, magazines, 'zines, journals and other material published on a periodic basis.

CatalogQ is searchable by title, organization/publisher, and subject terms.

CatalogQ contains information about the holdings of various archives and libraries in California. All of the materials listed are available for public use at one or more of the participating institutions. Currently, CatalogQ contains the holdings of the GLBT Historical Society in San Francisco, and the ONE Institute and Archives in Los Angeles. By the end of 2003 we expect to include the holdings of the James. C. Hormel Lesbian and Gay Center of the San Francisco Public Library, and the June Mazer Lesbian Archives in Los Angeles. Other libraries and archives will be added in later years.

This project is being funded by a Library Services and Technology Act grant administered by the California State Library. It was coordinated by Julia Bazar of the GLBT Historical Society. Since this is a work in progress, we are very interested in your feedback about the site. Please email Julia@glbthistory.org with comments, suggestions, and questions.

NOTE: The current data included in CatalogQ is only a partial listing of holdings at the GLBT Historical Society and the ONE Institute and Archives. Please contact us if you do not find what you are looking for. We will continue to refine our subject terms, update and correct entries, and add titles in the year ahead.
